Lilith
The Night Mother. The original woman. The legend is that when God created Eden, he then created Adam from clay, and Lilith from the same clay. Adam wanted Lilith to be subservient to him, but she refused since they were made from the same clay — they were equals. So Adam appealed to God, who banished Lilith from Eden, and instead created Eve from Adam’s rib, so that she was naturally subservient to Adam. Lilith eventually found solace with the archangel Samael. Lilith smells of clove and spices, powerful elements taken from the same earth that Lilith herself was formed.
